The Jews Chosen
Gn 12:1-3
1 Now Yahweh said to Abram, "Get out of your country, and from your
relatives, and from your father's house, to the land that I will show you.
2 I will make of you a
great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a
blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. In you
will all of the families of the earth be blessed."
Gn 15:5
Yahweh brought him outside, and said, "Look now toward the sky, and count
the stars, if you are able to count them." He said to Abram, "So shall
your seed be."
Gn 17:7
I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you
throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and
to your seed after you.
Gn 22:17,18
17 I will bless you greatly, and I will multiply your seed greatly like the
stars of the heavens, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your seed will
possess the gate of his enemies.
18 In your seed will all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have
obeyed my voice."
Gn 26:4 (To Isaac)
I will multiply your seed as the stars of the sky, and will give to your seed
all these lands. In your seed will all the nations of the earth be blessed,

3 Jacob said to Joseph, "God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of
Canaan, and blessed me,
4 and said to me, 'Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I
will make of you a company of peoples, and will give this land to your seed
after you for an everlasting possession.'

You shall tell Pharaoh, 'Thus says Yahweh, Israel is my son, my firstborn,

6 Therefore tell the children of Israel, 'I am Yahweh, and I will bring you out
from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their
bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great
judgments:
7 and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you
shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brings you out from under the burdens
of the Egyptians.
Dt 4:37
Because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and
brought you out with his presence, with his great power, out of Egypt;
Dt 7:6-8
6 For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God: Yahweh your God has chosen
you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the
face of the earth.
7 Yahweh didn’t set his love on you, nor choose you, because you were
more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all peoples:
8 but because Yahweh
loves you, and because he would keep the oath which he swore to your fathers,
has Yahweh brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house
of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
Dt 10:15
Only Yahweh had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their
seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.
Dt 14:2
For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God, and Yahweh has chosen you
to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of
the earth.

Your servant is in the midst of your people which you have chosen, a
great people, that can’t be numbered nor counted for multitude.

For you did separate them from among all the peoples of the earth, to be your

Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh,
the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

you seed of Abraham, his servant,
you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

that I may see the prosperity of your chosen,
that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation,
that I may glory with your inheritance.
Ps 135:4
For Yah has chosen Jacob for himself;
Israel for his own possession.
Is 41:8,9
8 “But you, Israel, my servant,
Jacob whom I have chosen,
the seed of Abraham my friend,
9 You whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth,
and called from its corners,
and said to you, ‘You are my servant, I have chosen you
and not cast you away;’
Is 43:10
“You are my witnesses,” says Yahweh,
“With my servant whom I have chosen;
that you may know and believe me,
and understand that I am he.
Before me there was no God formed,
neither will there be after me".
Is 43:20,21
20 The animals of the field
shall honor me,
the jackals and the ostriches;
because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert,
to give drink to my people, my chosen,
21 the people which I formed for myself,
that they might set forth my praise.
Is 44:1,2
1 Yet listen now, Jacob my servant,
and Israel, whom I have chosen.
This is what Yahweh who made you,
and formed you from the womb,
who will help you says:
2 “Don’t be afraid, Jacob my servant;
and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
Is 45:4
For Jacob my servant’s sake,
and Israel my chosen,
I have called you by your name.
I have surnamed you,
though you have not known me.
Jr 33:24
Don’t you consider what this people has spoken, saying, The two families which
Yahweh did choose, he has cast them off? thus do they despise my people,
that they should be no more a nation before them.
Ezk 20:5
and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: In the day when I chose Israel,
and swore to the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in
the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am Yahweh your God;

The God of this people chose our fathers, and exalted the people when
they stayed as aliens in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm, he led
them out of it.
