Ex 23:23,27-33
23 For my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the Amorite, the
Hittite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will
cut them off.
27 I will send my terror before you, and will confuse all the people to whom you
come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.
28 I will send the hornet before you, which will drive out the Hivite, the
Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you.
29 I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become
desolate, and the animals of the field multiply against you.
30 Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have
increased and inherit the land.
31 I will set your border from the Red Sea even to
the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River; for I will
deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out
before you.
32 You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
33 They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me, for if
you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”
Ex 33:2
I will send an angel before you; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the
Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:
Ex 34:11,24
11 Observe that which I command you this day. Behold, I drive out before you the
Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
24 For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither
shall any man desire your land when you go up to appear before Yahweh, your God,
three times in the year.
Nm 33:50-53,55,56
50 Yahweh spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,
51 Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, When you pass over the Jordan
into the land of Canaan,
52 then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and
destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images,
and demolish all their high places:
53 and you shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for to you have
I given the land to possess it.
55 But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then
those you let remain of them will be as pricks in your eyes and as thorns in
your sides, and they will harass you in the land in which you dwell.
56 It shall happen that as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you.
Dt 7:1
When Yahweh your God shall bring you into the land where you go to possess it,
and shall cast out many nations before you, the Hittite, and the Girgashite, and
the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the
Jebusite, seven nations greater and mightier than you;
Dt 9:1-5
1 Hear, Israel: you are to pass over the Jordan this day, to go in to dispossess
nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the
sky,
2 a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom
you have heard say, Who can stand before the sons of Anak?
3 Know therefore this day, that Yahweh your God is he who goes over before you
as a devouring fire; he will destroy them, and he will bring them down before
you: so you shall drive them out, and make them to perish quickly, as Yahweh has
spoken to you.
4 Don’t speak in your heart, after that Yahweh your God has thrust them out
from before you, saying, For my righteousness Yahweh has brought me in to
possess this land; whereas for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh does drive
them out from before you.
5 Not for your righteousness, or for the uprightness of your heart, do you go in
to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh your God
does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which
Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
Dt 11:23
then will Yahweh drive out all these nations from before you, and you shall
dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.
Dt 12:2,29,30
2 You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall
dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under
every green tree:
29 When Yahweh your God shall cut off the nations from before you, where
you go
in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them, and dwell in their land;
30 take heed to yourself that you not be ensnared to follow them, after that
they are destroyed from before you; and that you not inquire after their gods,
saying, How do these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
Dt 18:12,14
12 For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh: and because of
these abominations Yahweh your God does drive them out from before you.
14 For these nations, that you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice
sorcery, and to diviners; but as for you, Yahweh your God has not allowed you so
to do.
Dt 19:1
When Yahweh your God shall cut off the nations, whose land Yahweh your God gives
you, and you succeed them, and dwell in their cities, and in their houses;
Dt 20:16,17
16 But of the cities of these peoples, that Yahweh your God gives you for an
inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes;
17 but you shall utterly destroy them: the Hittite, and the Amorite, the
Canaanite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; as Yahweh your God
has commanded you;
Dt 31:3-5
3 Yahweh your God, he will go over before you; he will destroy these nations
from before you, and you shall dispossess them: and Joshua, he shall go
over before you, as Yahweh has spoken.
4 Yahweh will do to them as he did to Sihon and to Og, the kings of the
Amorites, and to their land; whom he destroyed.
5 Yahweh will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to
all the commandment which I have commanded you.
Jsh 3:10
Joshua said, “Hereby you shall know that the living God is among you, and that
he will without fail drive the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Hivite, and
the Perizzite, and the Girgashite, and the Amorite, and the Jebusite out from
before you.
Jsh 13:2-6
2 This is the land that still remains: all the regions of the Philistines, and
all the Geshurites;
3 from the Shihor, which is before Egypt, even to the border of Ekron northward,
which is counted as Canaanite; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites,
and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the
Avvim,
4 on the south; all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the
Sidonians, to Aphek, to the border of the Amorites;
5 and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal
Gad under Mount Hermon to the entrance of Hamath;
6 all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, even
all the Sidonians; them will I drive out from before the children of Israel:
only you it to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
Jsh 14:12
Now therefore give me this hill country, of which Yahweh spoke in that day; for
you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and great and fortified cities.
It may be that Yahweh will be with me, and I shall drive them out, as Yahweh
spoke.”
Jsh 24:12,18
12 I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the
two kings of the Amorites; not with your sword, nor with your bow.
18 Yahweh drove out from before us all the peoples, even the Amorites who lived
in the land. Therefore we also will serve Yahweh; for he is our God.”

You drove out the nations with your hand,

He also drove out the nations before them,

and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

You brought a vine out of Egypt.
You drove out the nations, and planted it.

which also our fathers, in their turn, brought in with Joshua when they entered
