The Geshurites
The Geshurites were the inhabitants of Geshur, a small kingdom just east of the Sea of Galilee.
Dt 3:14
Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, to the border of the
Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called them, even Bashan, after his own
name, Havvoth Jair, to this day.)
Jsh 12:5
and ruled in Mount Hermon, and in Salecah, and in all Bashan, to the border of the
Geshurites and the Maacathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of
Heshbon.

2 “This is the land that still remains: all the regions of the Philistines,
and all the Geshurites;
11 and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all
Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah;
13 Nevertheless the children of Israel didn’t drive out the Geshurites,
nor the Maacathites: but Geshur and Maacath dwell in the midst of Israel to this
day.
