Hazar Hatticon

    Hazar means "village" and Hatticon means "the midway", so, Hazar Hatticon means "the middle village" or "village of the midway".  Hazar Hatticon was by the border with the district of Hauran.  It is thought by some to be identical with Hazar Enan, but Hazar Enan is north of the border of the district of Damascus - making it too far from the border of Hauran, which is to the south of Damascus.  The location of Hazar Hatticon is currently unknown - but being "by the border of Hauran" would place it east of the Sea of Galilee, along the line with Ain, Riblah and Shepham.  It is only mentioned once is the Bible.
