The Salt Sea
So called because of it's very high salt content, about 28% - 35% (the salt content of oceans is about 6%). It is the lowest place on earth, about 1300 ft. below sea level. It's also called the Sea of the Arabah, the Sea of the Plain, the Hinder Sea, and the Eastern Sea. Now called the Dead Sea, because no plant or animal life is found in it.

All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (the same is the Salt Sea).
Nm 34:3,12
3 then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the side
of Edom, and your south border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea
eastward;
12 and the border shall go down to the Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be
at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders around
it.’”

even to the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah

ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan.
This was the south border.
2Kg 14:25
He restored the border of Israel from the entrance of Hamath to the sea of
the Arabah, according to the word of Yahweh, the God of Israel, which he
spoke by his servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was of Gath
Hepher.
Ezk 47:8,18
8 Then said he to me, These waters issue forth toward the eastern region,
and shall go down into the Arabah; and they shall go toward the sea;
into the sea shall the waters go which were made to issue forth;
and the waters shall be healed.
18 The east side, between Hauran and Damascus and Gilead, and the land of
Israel, shall be the Jordan; from the north border to the east sea
you shall measure. This is the east side.
Jl 2:20
But I will remove the northern army far away from you,
and will drive it into a barren and desolate land,
its front into the eastern sea,
and its back into the western sea;
and its stench will come up,
and its bad smell will rise.”
Zc 14:8
It will happen in that day, that living waters will go out from Jerusalem; half
of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea;
in summer and in winter will it be.
