Tiphsah

    While not included in any detailed borders of The Promised Land, Tiphsah is the only specific location along the Euphrates River mentioned as being under the dominion of Israel when it's rule extended to "The River".  This is significant because the borders of the Promised Land are frequently identified as extending to the Euphrates River.  During the Kingdoms of David and Solomon is the only period of Bible history that Israel's borders extended to the Euphrates.  In the Greek and Roman era Tiphsah was called Thapsacus.  Today it is called Dibseh and sits on the south bank of the Euphrates River in what is now Syria. Tiphsah means "Passing over", and was the location of a river crossing.

    For he had dominion over all the region on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had peace on all sides around him.

2Kg 15:16
    Then Menahem struck Tiphsah, and all who were therein, and its borders, from Tirzah: because they didn’t open to him, therefore he struck it; and all the women therein who were with child he ripped up.
