Geographic Border Locations:

Ziphron

    The name means "a sweet odor". It was a city on the north border of The Promised Land.  The Bible places Ziphron between Zedad and Hazar Enan.  Although the exact location of Ziphron is not known, the locations of Zedad and Hazar Enan are known.  On the map you can see that Zedad and Hazar Enan are fairly close together, so the location of Ziphron can only be placed between them as shown.

Nm 34:8,9
8 from Mount Hor you shall mark out to the entrance of Hamath; and the goings out of the border shall be at Zedad;
9 and the border shall go forth to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazar Enan: this shall be your north border.
